Streaktember Challenge – Day 10: Slower, But Still a Win

Day 10 of Streaktember is in the books! I went to bed late yesterday, so I knew I wasn’t going to be as fast as yesterday. I was definitely tired, but not in the same draggy way I felt during the first week; it was just more of a general fatigue.

My pace today wasn’t as quick, and my watch recorded the effort as hard. But honestly? I’m still proud of myself for showing up and finishing. Not every run will be a personal record, and that’s okay. The important thing is building the habit and staying consistent, especially on days when I’d rather skip.

What’s exciting is that I’m starting to look forward to each run, regardless of how it goes. Some days are faster, some days are harder, but every day is progress. I can’t wait to see how the rest of the challenge unfolds!

Tips for Fellow Runners

  • Rest matters. Going to bed late shows up in your pace the next day.
  • Progress isn’t linear. Some days are faster, some days are slower, but consistency wins.
  • Celebrate effort, not just speed. Finishing the run, even when it’s tough, is a victory.
