Streaktember Day 19 is in the books, and while I didn’t push to 2 miles today, I’m still proud of completing my 1 mile. Sometimes, the victory isn’t in going the extra distance but in showing up, even when you’re running on little sleep. Consistency is the name of the game, and Day 19 proves it.
Running on Empty
I stayed up working very late last night, and waking up felt like I had only gotten a nap. My body wasn’t at its best, but I still dragged myself downstairs and got on the treadmill. The goal? Keep the streak alive.
The One-Mile Marker
As much as I’ve been talking about hitting 2 miles, today wasn’t the day. I managed 1 mile and called it a wrap. And honestly, that’s okay. Some days are about hitting personal records, and others are about protecting your energy and still getting it done.
The Bigger Picture
Even though I chickened out again, what matters is that I didn’t quit altogether. I laced up, I ran, and I kept the streak alive. Two miles will happen one day; not today, maybe not tomorrow, but one day. And when it does, it’ll feel even more rewarding.
Streaktember day 19 is complete. 11 more to go.
