Streaktember Day 16 has me feeling so accomplished because today officially marks the point where I’ve run more days than I have left. I honestly can’t believe I’ve made it this far, considering how tough the early days were. Now that my body is getting used to it, I felt ready to push myself harder, and it paid off with my farthest run yet.
Building Momentum
With 16 days behind me, I feel lighter, stronger, and more motivated. There’s something powerful about reaching that turning point where the finish line is closer than the starting point. Today, I wanted to celebrate that progress by pushing myself a little harder.
Making Do With What I Have
My tripod situation still isn’t sorted, so I got creative by combining two old ones into a makeshift stand. It wasn’t perfect, but it worked well enough to capture content until my new tripod arrives. No excuses—just improvisation.
Stretching My Limits
Normally, I run 1 mile and then walk to close my 15-minute exercise ring. But today, I decided to aim for 2 miles straight. I’ll admit, I chickened out once my watch beeped that my exercise ring was closed—but I still logged 1.36 miles, my farthest run so far. That felt like such a victory.
Looking Ahead
My effort level was recorded as “hard,” which I expected, but I wasn’t completely wiped out at the end. That gives me confidence that I can do even more. Tomorrow, I’m aiming for 1.5 miles, and hopefully by next week, I’ll finally hit that 2-mile milestone.
